“In the Service of Your God”

“When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.”

What does that look like to you? Our mission letter states, "Your purpose will be to help others come unto Christ by serving them as the Savior would." As missionaries called to serve the Young Adults, we are learning what it means to be in the service of our God. We have been asked to help support, encourage, and lift them to continue on the Lord’s covenant path so that “They, too, can then have the opportunity to receive sacred ordinances and make covenants with Heavenly Father.” Bringing them together through a meal is one way to accomplish that. Actually a pretty major way. Also having opportunities to gather together to have fun and feel the joy of the spirit is another way to help them continue on the covenant path.

These are groups of YA (pronounced “HA” in Spanish) from Barcelona, Terrassa, Lleida, Andora and Zaragoza. Our area requires quite a bit of travel to these different groups. We cover 8 units (wards and branches). We stay the night in a hotel when visiting some of these areas. We love it. It is all really fun! The kids, the shopping and cooking, the planning, the travel, the games, and the execution of it all. But the best part is looking in their faces and loving each of them as we serve them. They are so gracious and kind to us. The YA are absolutely amazing and are valiant sons and daughters of God. We love them! We are so blessed to be able to be here with them.
