Conference Impressions
It's hard to pick just one takeaway from conference because so many things touched my heart. Here are a few of the impressions that stood out to me:
I felt a strong prompting to center my thoughts and words on Christ. This includes rejoicing in Him and perhaps even sharing images of the Savior on my blog.
I also felt a desire to prioritize temple attendance. While it presents logistical challenges like flights or long journeys, I believe the opportunity to feel the love of the Savior and Heavenly Father there would be incredibly worthwhile.
President Nelson's emphasis on making temples more accessible worldwide resonated deeply with me. I felt the love of both our prophet and the Savior for people everywhere.
Another thought was about how we celebrate the Resurrection of the Savior. I feel inspired to find ways to make this even more meaningful.
I also felt the importance of connecting with our children and grandchildren, making sure they know how much we love them and helping them feel the Savior's love too. Even with time differences creating obstacles, these connections are vital.
Finally, I was impressed by the idea of incorporating more artwork of the Savior in our homes, as it can be a powerful reminder of His love and inspire gratitude.
Bringing it all together, I think the overarching theme for me was feeling the profound love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
Elder Kearon's talk beautifully illustrated this love, comparing it to a precious gift. He explained that understanding God's "omniscient love" can completely change how we see ourselves and others. Recognizing our worth in His eyes helps us understand His love for all His children. What struck me is Elder Kearon's point that this gift of love isn't something we earn; it comes through the grace of Jesus Christ. His simple advice, "Don't complicate it, just let it in," was so powerful. It makes me wonder why we don't always feel our inherent worth. Perhaps it's because opposition tries to cloud that truth. But we can have confidence that our Heavenly Father knows us, loves us deeply, and is constantly supporting us. He's our biggest cheerleader!
