The Giving Machine!

"We are so excited to have the Light the World Giving Machine here in Barcelona! It is located at a huge, three-story outdoor mall just outside the city center. This project has been months in the making. (Maybe longer I am not sure) The senior mission couple, the Rees’, served as our liaisons. They did an amazing job bringing it to life. They worked tirelessly to coordinate with various charities—including the Red Cross—to determine their specific needs and organize the advertising.

It has been inspiring to hear how this project unfolded. The Lord has opened doors to make this come to pass. We are grateful to see it. The efforts trickled down through the stakes and wards as members prepared to volunteer and staff the machines.

We’ve already had the opportunity to visit, and it is wonderful to watch people walk by with curiosity. We hope that over its stay, those who pass by once will return to stop and truly engage with the cause. To draw people in, they held a grand opening and have scheduled various singers and pianists to perform throughout the time. It’s a beautiful way to bring the spirit of giving to the city!"
